Victoria Beckham has a "punishment chair" in her house.
The 36-year-old singer-turned-fashion designer - who has three children, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five, with soccer star David Beckham - is very strict with her kids but has never "physically" punished them for bad behaviour.
She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "We watch movies together as a family and invite guests too. We are also very strict about the children doing their homework and going to bed on time.
"Cruz goes to bed at 7pm, Romeo goes at 7.30pm and Brooklyn at 9.30pm. I firmly believe that children need a basic routine.
"We have got a punishment chair - when you've done something naughty you are supposed to sit down on it and think over your behaviour. But I have never had to punish them physically.
"I think they are all very clever boys and besides they've got very good manners."
The former Spice Girl also lifted the lid on her relationship with husband David, insisting he is her "best friend".

Howard Stern doesn't want to replace Larry King. He wants to bury him.
Stern called King a "loser" and "the luckiest man in show business" at a Hamptons party over the weekend - and a "f?ing ass?" on his Sirius radio show Monday - after learning that the CNN talk-show host had trashed him in an interview published last week in Steppin' Out magazine.
King invited the verbal beatdown when Steppin' Out columnist Chaunce Hayden asked the suspendered wonder if Stern would make a good replacement for him when he steps down from his talk show.
"No, I wouldn't want to be compared to Howard Stern," King said, adding: "He's not tasteful at all." King continued: "You go to the least common denominator and that's Howard Stern."
He also said the shock jock "would like you to print that I called him a smock" - presumably a euphemism for the Yiddish word "schmuck."
King ended his diatribe with: "I regard Howard Stern as worthless."
Stern had been on vacation and was unaware of King's comments when Gatecrasher brought him up to speed at Savanna's in Southampton, where his wife, Beth, was being feted as Hamptons magazine's new cover girl.
"It's alleged he was banging his wife's sister and he's saying that I'm tasteless?" Stern said incredulously. "He's a frog … an imp and he's the luckiest man in show business."

Angelina Jolie has got an intimate tattoo for Brad Pitt.
The 'Salt' actress - who raises six children with her partner of five years - already has an array of body art and has now added a heart on her inner thigh to show her love for the Hollywood heartthrob.
When asked about the inking, Angelina replied: "Um, it's for Brad."
Although she refused to give any more information on the design, she admitted it probably won't be long before she does, admitting to MTV: "I'm bad at hiding secrets."
Angelina also defended four-year-old daughter Shiloh's sense of style after she recently revealed the blonde-haired tot likes to dress as a boy.
The 35-year-old screen beauty - who also has Maddox, eight, Pax, six, Zahara, five, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad - said: "Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth.
"I think Shiloh is fascinating, the choices she is making. And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting."
