Jennifer Aniston "feared for her safety" from an alleged stalker.
The 'Bounty Hunter' star's lawyers obtained a temporary restraining order yesterday (20.07.10) at a court in Santa Monica to protect her from Jason R. Peyton, who was arrested after spending days trying to find the actress on Sunset Boulevard, California.
In a signed court declaration the actress revealed that "delusional" Peyton had made her fear for her safety.
She stated: "Mr. Peyton has aggressively sought to have personal contact with me and integrate himself into my life.
"'Due to Mr. Peyton's delusional compulsion and increasingly harassing, stalking and threatening conduct, I have been subjected to a course of conduct which has and is seriously alarming, annoying and harassing me.
"Mr. Peyton's ongoing, ever-increasing, aggressive and harassing conduct are extremely distressing. I fear for my personal safety and that of those around me."
Court documents filed on Tuesday reveal police detained the 24-year-old man - who travelled cross-country in a delusional attempt to marry the former 'Friends' star - last week after finding him with a sharp object, duct tape and love notes to her.
Among the messages he had written to himself were brief notes reading "Jen told me she wants me to be the father of her children" and "Call Jen", as well a s a list of potential baby names.
The filings state Peyton - who had scratched 'I love Jennifer Aniston' onto his car - has been accused of stalking others and is disobeying court orders that he must take anti-psychotic medications.
Police reports say he has "a history of violence and criminal stalking".
The man - who has been diagnosed as a delusional and paranoid schizophrenic was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold by Los Angeles police.

Mel Gibson may have some serious issues, but his soon-to-be ex-wife Robyn says he is a terrific father to their seven children and was never abusive.
In a written, sworn declaration to the courts defending him from allegations of domestic violence by new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, Robyn states:
"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage ... Mel was a wonderful and loving father."
During their 28 years of marriage (she filed for divorce last year, around the time Mel began seeing Oksana), Robyn says he was never violent.
A stark contrast from the raving madman heard on the Mel Gibson tapes recorded by Oksana Grigorieva this week - tapes police are looking into.
Detectives are currently investigating whether Mel abused Oksana, with whom he is in an ugly custody dispute over their baby daughter, Lucia.
They are examining the authenticity of the recordings, according to officials, following claims by Gibson's attorneys of editing and tampering.
In the most recent Mel Gibson rant to leak online (there are five in all), Grigorieva calls the actor, who is ranging mad, the worst father ever.

While Eclipse continues to rake in the box office dough, Melissa Rosenberg is already looking ahead to Breaking Dawn.
That movie's screenwriter spoke to Hollywood Life recently and shared scintillating news with Twilight Saga fans. Simply put, she said: “We want the eroticism of the sex scenes.â€
Just how much of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will viewers see? Rosenberg remained coy, but added:
"If you really look at the books, how much are you really seeing? I think [the movies] might wind up being saucier than the book because you’re actually seeing skin-on-skin and the horror of the birth scenes. We’re not shying away from it.â€
